Operation Sovereign Blockers prepares to take action on Malcolm’s gay marriage plebiscite but decides to stop short of demanding a plebiscite on banning heterosexual marriage.
The story starts here...

“I have called this meeting” announced Nick “to discuss plans for our first major block in this parliament, the plebiscite on gay marriage

“It’s so exciting” exclaimed Sarah “to be starting out on another Senate blocking season to save Australia”

“And just remember” advised Jacqui “that the plebiscite was an Abbott idea so it’s obviously homophobic”

“I’m not sure whether it’s a good idea to block it or not” explained Pauline “if gay marriage gets legalised it would result in me getting even more marriage proposals from strange people”

“The gay marriage issue” opined Derryn “should be decided by a conscience vote in parliament”

“But that would be very unfair to Muslims” said Pauline “because they oppose gay marriage and there’s only one or two of them in parliament”

“I suppose you could argue” said Jacqui “that a conscience vote from federal politicians is about as valid as expert advice from financial advisers at banks”

“The trouble with a plebiscite” said Nick authoritatively “is that it would set off a shitstorm. Gay marriage would be trashed by a load of paedophile priests”

“Blocking the plebiscite” declared Sarah “would stuff Malcolm royally. That’s why it would be such fun. It’s going to come as a terrible shock to Malcolm that being married to an Abbott policy is a worse fate for him than gay marriage’

“So it’s all agreed then” pronounced Nick “an Operation Sovereign Block will be applied to Malcolm’s gay marriage plebiscite”

“Wait a bit” said Pauline “what happens after that?”

“Then we can join with the Labor Party” suggested Nick “in pressuring Malcolm for a conscience vote on gay marriage in parliament”

“Goodness me” declared Pauline “I’m not sure whether I want that on my conscience”

“Well” said Jacqui “I’m desperate for something to happen soon because I need to make up my mind whether I’m going to propose to Arnold Schwarzenegger or Pauline”
