Fred Plodge, the spiritual leader of public bar politics, explains how his planned political party would provide the platform to transform Pauline Hanson and Jacqui Lambie into politicians you might even consider voting for.

It has become all too apparent that some leading political commentators believe that my planned Public Bar Political Party will gain even less traction than the Australian Sex Party. How unbelievably short-sighted!

Their more insightful colleagues, however have sussed that public bars have a loyal following greater than the Greens, Pauline Hanson and the Australian Sex Party combined.

Furthermore, the folks are heartily hacked off with politics as usual. It’s bleedin’ obvious that neither Malcolm, Tony or Bill has what it takes to lead us back to the glory days when we were all just as pissed but with the difference then that we could afford it.

That’s why Trump, Bernie, Pauline, Jacqui and Clive have made such an impression. No-one would ever dream of choosing them to do anything serious except replace politicians. And therein lies the problem because they hardly have what it takes to lead a normal life let alone a country.

As a national leader Trump would be out of touch except when he’s dealing with women, Bernie would reduce Wall St to Open Borders St, Pauline would run out of whitewash, Jacqui would replace the Australian economy with the Tasmanian economy and Clive would be left without a nickel.

So while they’ve got the right idea they need some credible unifying force to give them the direction and authority which transforms them into a credible alternative government.

Like the Public Bar Party.
