Pudding Club Resident Sages Relish The Thought Of a Miliband-less Labour and an Greece-Free EU

Pudding Club members look forward to a mid-year clean-out both in the EU and the Labour Party.
The story starts here...

Lord Noes, General Alarm and Sir Rah Sera tucked into the club chef’s gourmet lunch special last week of Fritto Misto augmented by an amusingly petillant little something from the Loire Valley.

“I say” said His Lordship “who the hell do you think is going to lead the Labour Party?”

“Only a doctrinal dropkick from the union movement would be deluded enough to take the job on” remarked the General

“The US based Miliband of the less loony variety doesn’t seem interested” said Sir Rah

“Surely it won’t be Harlot Harman” said His Lordship

“Yvette Watsername could be a threat” said the General “but she’s still attached to the same Balls and chain as the Miliband of the more loony variety was”

“So this Burnham cove looks like the favourite” said His Lordship “to become the latest serve of Cameron fodder”

“There seems to be a real chance” said Sir Rah “that Greece will go bust”

“I defaulted in Greece once” said the General “She was a seductive little thing but I got too hammered at the Daphne Wine Festival”

“We should seriously consider” said Sir Rah “the consequences of Greece leaving the EU”

“First and foremost though” said His Lordship “it would be a stark reminder to countries like Spain and Portugal that you can’t live like a Lord on an EU credit card or even on my credit card for that matter”

“I think the best future prospect for Greece” said the General “is to become a branch of the British Museum”

“I believe” said Sir Rah “that a Greek withdrawal from the EU would cause a major financial meltdown euro-wise which would impact seriously on our EU referendum”

“That will get Nigel excited” said the General “but I expect Angela to become the Maggie Thatcher of the EU standing alone against the loony loser left forces of pretty well every other member except us and saving Greece from becoming a colony of Russia”

“You’re right” said His Lordship “if Angela wasn’t so Germanic I’d be recommending her to take over the Conservative Party leadership from David”

“I’ll tell you what” said Sir Rah “if things get really hairy EU-wise Scotland will be very thankful that they’re not out on their own”

“Well there’s still a chance that in time they too could become part of Russia” said the General “and then the caviar really would come from the virgin Sturgeon”
