What standards should the new Speaker be adopting - You Decide

Heard down the Canberra corridors of power

“Why do you think that that Tony should have brought in the American dentist who terminated Cecil to do the same to Bronnie?”

“Because it was like pulling teeth”

Heard at a Liberal party meeting

“Have you got your eyes on Bronnie’s seat?”

“Only in the political sense”

I want to be absolutely clear about this

Heard down the Canberra corridors of power

“Why do you think a clampdown on parliamentary expenses will hit Labor MPs harder?”

“Because they’ve already lost access to Eddie Obeid’s ski lodge”

Heard in the Parliament House bar

“Isn’t the decision to build warships in Adelaide a change of Coalition policy?”

“No they only stated that they wouldn’t build canoes there”

Heard down the Canberra corridors of power

“Why did it take so long for Tony to dump Bronnie?”

“He was apprehensive that Julia would call him a misogynist again”

Heard in the Labor caucus room

“What difference do you expect the new Speaker will make?”

“I won’t be available for squash so regularly during Question Time”
